This is some what right. Although i have to disagree with numbers 6 and 10.

6. “Give them advanced notice of expected changes in their lives.”  <— This can not always be true. Life is always packed with the UNEXPECTED.

10. “Enable them to find one best friend who has similar interests and abilities; encourage this relationship even if the friend moves.”  O.o…Hm, this sounds as if it is being directed to a child/pre-teen, rather than to a young adult.
